ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਰਹਿਮ ਕੁੱਟਮਾਰ: ਕਈ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ — ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਅਣਸ਼ੱਚਿਤ
ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਬੇਰਹਿਮ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਵੀਡੀਓ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਾਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਕਾਰਣ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ। ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਕ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸੜਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਧੱਕੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਟਕੇ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ — ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੇਟ, MSP ਦੀ ਗਰੰਟੀ, ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ, ਖਰਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਅਸਥਿਰਤਾ — ਬਾਰੇ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ, ਹਿੰਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ। ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਰਗੇ ਖੇਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰੀਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੱਟ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੰਭੀਰ ਹੈ। ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੀਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੁਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ, ਇੱਜ਼ਤਦਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਅੱਗੇ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੈ। ਡੀਜ਼ਲ, ਖਾਦ, ਬੀਜ ਅਤੇ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਖਰਚੇ, ਮੌਸਮ ਦੀ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਘਟ ਰਹੀ ਕਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, MSP ਦੀ ਅਣਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉੱਪਰੋਂ, ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਜਬਰਭਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰਕ ਹੱਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਚੌਰਾਹੇ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁੱਸਾ, ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੇਗੀ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, MSP ਦੀ ਗਰੰਟੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਖੇਤੀ-ਬਾੜੀ ਲਈ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਬੋਝ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਸੰਭਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਰਦ, ਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਿਆਇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਕੇ ਕਦਮ ਨਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਗਏ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ, ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ‘ਤੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਅਸਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ।

Murderers, Sex Offenders, and Drug Traffickers Released from Jails Directly into California Communities
Sanctuary politicians like Gavin Newsom put American lives at risk by refusing to cooperate with ICE law enforcement
WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Todd Lyons sent a letter to California Attorney General Rob Bonta calling on him to put the safety of Americans first and honor ICE arrest detainers of the more than 33,000 criminal illegal aliens in California’s custody including murderers, sex offenders, and drug traffickers.
California’s failure to honor ICE detainers has resulted in the release of 4,561 criminal illegal aliens since January 20. The crimes of these aliens include 31 homicides, 661 assaults, 574 burglaries, 184 robberies, 1,489 dangerous drugs offenses, 379 weapons offenses, and 234 sexual predatory offenses.
There are currently 33,179 aliens in the custody of a California jurisdiction with active detainers. The crimes of these aliens include 399 homicides, 3,313 assaults, 3,171 burglaries, 1,011 robberies, 8,380 dangerous drugs offenses, 1,984 weapons offenses, and 1,293 sexual predatory offenses.
“Governor Newsom and his fellow California sanctuary politicians are releasing murderers, pedophiles, and drug traffickers from their jails back into our neighborhoods and putting American lives at risk,” said Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons. “We are calling on Governor Newsom and his administration to stop this dangerous derangement and commit to honoring the ICE arrest detainers of the more than 33,000 criminal illegal aliens in California’s custody.
